Julie has over 20 years experience in the Clothing/Textile industry, since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA Hons in Clothing Studies. Within the industry she has had a career spanning all aspects from international sourcing and manufacturing through to sales and retail, even including a 6 month stint in Romania to setting up an office for a UK company.
Before joining WMpS she travelled globally as one of a few Product Managers for a well known baby and children’s High Street name, selecting and placing business with factories. She joined WMpS in 2009 when she moved to Yorkshire, and has since used her keen knowledge of the industry to aid the company in targeting the correct customers with their sophisticated and visually media rich Redfish Ecommerce platform product. She has also co-ordinated our own home grown regional events which were launched in the Summer of last year.
Out of Work Interests:
Julie has a totally obsessive interest with all things Fashion and Home. She spends a lot of time researching the markets and tries to keep retail therapy to a minimum! Outside work she also enjoys spending family time with both her partner and teenage stepdaughters. Additional interests include house renovation (number 4 at last count), running, yoga, sewing and printed textiles, and she has tried surfing, rock climbing and skydiving – all of which would be on the list again if time allowed.
