Victoria joined WMpS in January 2011 to help with company PR, offline and sales marketing.
Her background is in arts marketing and before she joined WMpS she was the Head of Marketing and Communications at Hull Truck Theatre. There she was responsible for developing marketing strategy for the theatre’s artistic programme and promoting their new theatre building as an artistic hub for Hull and the region. She has over eight years experience in the Arts sector even did a stint at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
Whilst ecommerce and online marketing is a new field for Victoria, she is relishing every minute and is enjoying applying her previous experience to a new market.
Victoria had a strange route to marketing. Initially she wanted to be a practising artist and has a degree in Ceramic Design. After a stint of work experience at an Art Gallery she decided she’d like to be a Curator and was lucky enough to be able to continue studying for a bit longer and get a Masters degree in Art History. Finally after a few years in arts administration and events organisation she found her niche in marketing and completed her Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Arts Marketing in 2007. Since then she’s never looked back!
Out of Work Interests:
Victoria is a keen dressmaker, loves reading particularly historic fiction, going to the cinema and of course socialising with friends. She also enjoys going for rides with her husband on his Harley Davidson.
